White
River Junction, a natural transportation center, is where highways, rivers,
and railways converge. In 1759, the rapids at the
confluence
of the White and Conn. Rivers nearly brought death to Robert Rogers and 3
Rangers. Vermont's first train ran from the
Junction
to Bethel in 1848.
